Academic internships, short dissertation and doctoral research projects
We host formal internships and academic research projects (Undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral dissertations) in coastal and marine systems across the natural and social sciences. If you’re interested, we recommend exploring our programmes and projects on the website first to understand where your ideas may align. If you find a programme or project that feels like a good fit, please write to the relevant Programme Head or Programme Officer to begin a conversation. Ideas that connect closely with ongoing work generally have a better chance of finding support.
To make the process smooth, please include the following when you reach out:
- Your latest CV
- A brief note on your areas of interest and how they align with our work
- A tentative timeline and duration of your proposed research
- Any relevant course or institutional requirements (credits, forms, letters)
- Information on stipend or institutional support, if applicable
- Any IPR-related considerations we should be aware of
If you are also discussing your ideas with other supervisors within Dakshin or other institutions, don’t hesitate to let us know.
