Dakshin Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of India’s coastal and marine ecosystems through inclusive, community-based approaches. By bringing together scientific research, local knowledge systems, and capacity-building, we work to support both environmental sustainability and the wellbeing of ocean-dependent communities.

We welcome support from individuals, corporate entities, and grant-making bodies that share our commitment to environmental sustainability and community wellbeing. Donations to Dakshin Foundation are eligible for tax exemption under Sections 12A and 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961. We are also registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), 2010.

We value both one-time donations and long-term contributions, and welcome partnerships that grow over time as donors become more familiar with our work. Contributions may also be directed towards specific programmes or projects, including research initiatives, publications, media outreach, and specialised equipment.

We acknowledge the support of our donors through our website, annual reports, and other communication materials related to the funded work.
